Follow  these simple pointers daily to enjoy a radiant and healthy complexion.

1. Drink Up
Without  enough water to help the body flush out toxins, the body is basically like a pool of poisons, which affects the health of your skin. Thus, the first step towards a glowing complexion is drinking at least 6-8 glasses of water every day. Not diet soda or juices, but pure water.

2. Sweat It Out
Begin an exercise routine. Something as simple as running or walking provides numerous health benefits to make you feel good and look great. Going for a sauna or spa can also help detoxify your body as it unclogs pores and cleanses toxins from the skin.

3. Eat Well
A health and balanced diet is critical for beautiful skin. Consume 6-8 servings of fruits and green veggies a day. Also, take more fish and fresh food. Exercise moderation for carbohydrate-rich food, as these diminish collagen in skin, leading to premature aging, acne, spots, rashes and cellulite.

4. Anti-Oxidants
Have 5-9 daily servings of anti-oxidant-rich food, such as prunes, berries and leafy vegetables like lettuce and cabbage. Anti-oxidants are essential for maintaining skin health. They help protect your skin from damaging sun rays, while giving it a youthful appearance.

5. Beauty Sleep
Make sure you get at least 8 hours deep, continuous sleep daily. It is during sleep when the body exerts maximal effort in rejuvenating and generating new skin cells. Lack of sleep can induce dehydration, which leads to fluid retention and eventually wrinkles and dark eye rings.

6. Sun Protection
Sunscreen is a daily must. It protects your skin from harmful ultraviolet rays which generate free radicals that lead to cancer and premature skin aging. For best protection, choose a sunscreen with high SPF that combats both UVA and UVB rays.
